DESTINATION ABU DHABI - Al Ain

Abu Dhabi is also home to the city of Al Ain (150 km east of Abu Dhabi City) the city is dubbed the Garden City of the UAE. As the region's largest oasis complex, the city has been at the crossroads of trade routes for centuries for people traversing the great sand seas or mountain crest of Arabia. It houses the Al Ain National Museum, the Al Ain Palace Museum and a number of restored forts, one of the finest examples being the Eastern, or Sultan Fort, adjacent to Al Ain Museum. Opening times are Saturdays to Thursdays 08:30 to 19:30, and Fridays 15:00 to 19:30. For those of you who enjoy the thrills of speed on the bike why not hop off it and head to Al Ain Raceway's fully flood-lit go kart track which was voted one of the top 3 tracks in the world last year.
