DESTINATION ABU DHABI - Visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

One of the world's largest religious monuments, it is a truly international architectural masterpiece and home to the world's largest hand-made carpet, designed by Iranian artist Ali Khaliqi, woven by more than 200 workers he spent 12 months completing the spectacular piece of art in 28 different colours.

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is a magnificent addition to Islamic architectural splendour and is a landmark in the United Arab Emirates and the whole region. The main prayer hall, under three large domes, can accommodate over 6,000 worshippers and the whole mosque can accommodate 40,000 worshippers.
